Replacing a memory card for the TS7650G (Gateway), ProtecTIER® V3.4.3

Complete this task to replace a memory card in 3958 DD4 and DD5 servers.

Procedure

Perform the following steps to install a memory card in the server:

  1. Make sure that the memory card that you are installing is supported by your server by checking the FRUs listed in Field-replaceable units unique to the 3958 DD4 and DD5 servers for the TS7650G (Gateway), ProtecTIER V3.4.3.
  2. Insert the memory card into the memory-card connector. Press the memory card into the connector and the retention latch down onto the top of the memory card.
  3. Slide the blue release latch toward the front of the server, into the locked position.
  4. Install the top cover (see Replacing the top cover for the TS7650G (Gateway), ProtecTIER V3.4.3).
  5. Connect the cables and power cords.
  6. Slide the server into the rack.
  7. Turn on all attached devices and the server.
