Storage Groups Threshold Audit report

The Storage Groups Threshold Audit Report reads the SMS definitions for storage group occupancy and searches every volume for storage groups that have volumes that are above the defined high threshold limit.

Select the Storage Groups Audit option from the Auditing Reports Menu to display a filter panel for the Storage Groups Audit panel. you can filter the report information by storage group name.

Storage Group Name: You can specify a storage group name explicitly or you can use a wildcard mask for storage group name to specify multiple storage groups.

Type your filtering value and press Enter to proceed to the Storage Groups Audit panel.

The following information is included in the report:

Storage Group: Name of the storage group.
Num Volumes: Number of volumes in the storage group.
Used Percent: Occupancy percentage level for the entire storage group.
High Thresh: High threshold level set for the storage group.
Free Cylinders: Total number of free cylinders that are available in the storage group.
Total Cylinders: Total number of cylinders that are available in the storage group.

To exit the Storage Groups Audit panel, press the END function key. To display the Volumes List panel, use the VOL line command for a selected volume.

The following information is shown for the selected volume:

Volser: Volume serial number.
Device Number: Device number for the volume serial number.
Device Type: Character representation of the volume's device type.
Used Percent: Percentage of volume that is occupied by data.
Total Cylinders: Total number of cylinders that are available on volume.
Free Cylinders: Total number of free cylinders that are available on volume.
Storage \Group: Storage group in which the volume belongs.
