CKM04148W Filter/Analyze Forced due to a Duplicate Backup Record.

Explanation

RECOVER BCS detected one or more duplicate BCS records from the backup file, which raises the possibility that other obsolete historical entries or co-dependent record types from the BCS backup may be invalid, missing, or otherwise inappropriate. The particular duplicate key itself may or may not be of any consequence. However, the mere presence of this anomaly triggers RECOVER to invoke Filter/Analyze processing. The Filter/Analyze phase of RECOVER will rebuild or discard any BCS record or component that is not of sound structural integrity.

Duplicate BCS records are often included in the BCS Backup when orphaned C/A's (due to failed C/A Split activity) have been picked up by a PHYSICAL backup process.

User response

None, however specifying either ANALYZE or an inert filtering keyword such as INCLUDE-DSN(**) will suppress this RC=4 message from being issued. Specifying NO-ANALYZE is generally not recommended and should be used only under the direction of Customer Support.
