8005W VOLUME IS IN FAILED RECYCLE STATUS

Explanation

Audit-MediaControls interrogated the OCDS and has found a volume in failed recycle status. Input tapes are marked in error when one of the following occurs: * an I/O error on the input tape. * an OPEN failure for the input tape. * an allocation error for the input tape. * a deallocation error for the input tape. These errors prevent a successful recycle of the tape. The error condition is determined by reading the extension '0000' of the TTOC and examining the TTCFFAIL bit in the TTCFFLGS byte. To resolve this condition, execute AKDAUDFL with option THOROUGH or INTENSE. After the tape has been physically read and audited, the corrections to the TTOC may be implemented by submitting the &pfx.MEDIACTL.Vtttttt.FIXTTOC data set that contains the automatically generated fixes.
