Viewing audit results

After you run an audit procedure, you can view the audit results from the Auditing menu panel.

Procedure

  1. Type 1 in the Command line on the Main Menu panel and press Enter to display the Auditing menu panel (AKD710).

  2. In the Command line on the Auditing menu panel, type the option number that corresponds to the procedure whose results you want to view and then press Enter.
    MCDS
    The AKDAUDMD procedure audits all MCDS components except the catalog.
    The AKDAUDCT procedure audits all of the MCDS true name entries (MCD and MCO) against catalog entries with volser MIGRAT.
    The AKDAUDAL procedure audits all of the MCDS migration components and the entries that are cataloged to volser MIGRAT.
    BCDS
    The AKDAUDBD procedure audits the BCDS backup components.
    OCDS
    The AKDAUDOD procedure audits the DFSMShsm OCDS volume pointer chains, forward and backward.
    HSMTAPE
    The AKDAUDTP procedure audits the DFSMShsm tape inventory OCDS against the CA1 TMS system.
    The AKDAUDZR procedure audits the OCDS against the ZARA tape management system.
    The AKDAUDRM procedure audits the OCDS against the IBM Removable Media Manager (RMM).
    The AKDAUDCM procedure audits the OCDS against the BMC Control/M Tape (CNM).
    The AKDAUDHL procedure audits the OCDS against the TLMS Tape Master Volume File.
    The AKDAUDGF procedure audits the OCDS against the GFS/AFM tape management system.
    MEDCTL
    The AKDAUDFD procedure provides diagnostics that are useful in determining the health and contents of a tape before it is mounted and read.
    The AKDAUDFL depends on the successful completion of the for a given tape volume. AKDAUDFL uses the data sets created by AKDAUDFD and runs additional diagnostics after reading the physical tape.
    The AKDAUDFT procedure combines the functions of the AKDAUDFD and AKDAUDFL procedures to produce a single audit.
    SMS
    The AKDAUDSM procedure audits the management classes of data sets that are currently residing on DASD against the current ACS routine.
    The AKD720 panel displays the audit results.
