Enabling object structure security

You need to configure object structures to use object-structure based authorization and grant access to the object structures to your security group.

Procedure

  1. In Maximo® Manage, from the side navigation menu, click Integration > Object Structures and search for MXPERSON and then select the MXPERSON object structure.
  2. From the More Actions menu, click Configure Object Structure Security and set Use Object Structure for Authorization Name to on.
    Repeat these steps for the following objects.
    • MXASSET
    • MXOPERLOC
    • MXSR
    • MXWO
    • MXDOMAIN
  3. From the side navigation menu, select Security > Security Groups and open your security group.
  4. On the Object Structures tab, filter for MXPERSON.
  5. Click Grant Listed Options for This Object Structure and then save the group.
    Note: Repeat this procedure for all other changed structures.
