Adding the EXTERNALREFID object to the database

In the Database Configuration application, you configure the EXTERNALREFID object and PLUSIEXTREF index that are used to retrieve images from the comments or attachments in TRIRIGA® Application Suite service requests.

Procedure

  1. In Maximo® Manage, from the side navigation menu, click System Configuration > Platform Configuration > Database Configuration.
  2. Search and open the WORKLOG object and then click the Attributes tab.
  3. In the Attributes table, click the New Row icon and add an attribute that is named EXTERNALREFID. Specify ALN as the type, and 50 as the length. For more information, see Adding attributes to objects.
  4. Click the Save Object icon.
  5. Configure the database for your changes to take effect.
    1. Select Manage Admin Mode from the action menu.
    2. In the Turn Admin Mode ON window, modify the values in the Number of Administrative Sessions Allowed field and the Number of Minutes for User Logout field.
    3. The default value of each field is 5. If you modify these fields, click Update Properties for the parameters to take effect.
    4. Click Turn Admin Mode ON.
    5. In the Electronic Signature Authentication window, enter the appropriate value in the Reason for Change field.
    6. Click OK.
    7. A window opens that indicates that the Admin Mode is starting.
    8. Click OK.
    9. Throughout the configuration process, click Refresh Status to view the messages that the configuration process writes in the Status window.
    10. If you decide to cancel the configuration, click Cancel Admin Mode.
    11. Select the Apply Configuration Changes action to configure the database and restore backup tables. Wait until administration mode is turned on before performing this step.
    12. To turn off Admin Mode, select the Admin Mode action, and then click Turn Admin Mode OFF.
  6. In the Database Configuration application, search and open the WORKLOG object and then click the Indexes tab.
  7. In the Indexes table, click the New Row icon and add an index that is named PLUSIEXTREF.
    1. Set Clustered Index to off .
    2. In the Columns table, click the New Row icon and in the Column field, click the Select Value icon and then select EXTERNALREFID.
    3. Click the Save Object icon.
  8. Configure the database again for your changes to take effect.
