Authenticating App Connect

Establish the connection between two systems by using App Connect. Access to an instance of App Connect with a deployed instance of a Designer is required.

Before you begin

Note: IBM® App Connect Professional or App Connect Enterprise is needed to run these flows. The flows have been tested on IBM Cloud® App Connect, AWS App Connect, as well as the containerized version of App Connect.
To establish the connection between two systems, two HTTP accounts must be created on the Catalog page.

Procedure

  1. After all of the connectors are loaded, in the HTTP field, enter http.
  2. For the first account, select Connect to begin setting up the initial HTTP account.
Note: App Connect creates an account with a generic name in sequential order. For example, if Account 1 and Account 2 are present, the new account is named as Account 3.
  3. Use the following table to associate the proper credentials for the accounts.
Table 1. Account names and their details.
Flow Account Name Username Password API key API location API key name
Maximo® Application Suite to TRIRIGA® Application Suite mxtririga Your TRIRIGA username Your TRIRIGA password
TRIRIGA Application Suite to Maximo Application Suite trimaximo     Your Maximo API key header apikey
  4. After the account is connected, open the Catalog page and in the HTTP section, rename the new account to match the names that you created, such as mxtririga.
