Integration - embedded reporting

The Turbonomic platform includes an embedded reporting component that you can choose to enable when you install the platform. Embedded reporting stores a history of your managed environment and then presents selective snapshots of this history with a set of standard dashboards and reports. You can also create your own dashboards and reports to focus on other areas of interest.

Deprecation notice and next steps

Embedded reporting is deprecated as of version 8.18.4 and will no longer be supported starting with the first release in 2027.

To continue using the reporting capabilities of Turbonomic, choose from the following options:

  • Option 1

    Enable SaaS reporting, Turbonomic's next-generation reporting platform powered by ThoughtSpot.

  • Option 2

    Set up the Turbonomic data exporter. The data exporter loads reporting data into search and analytics services, such as Elasticsearch. You can then access those services to visualize and analyze data.

Option 1: Enable SaaS reporting

Choose one of the following approaches when you enable SaaS reporting.

  • Run SaaS reporting and embedded reporting in parallel.

    In this approach, you enable SaaS reporting while continuing to export data to embedded reporting. If this is your preference, enable SaaS reporting.

  • Fully transition to SaaS reporting.

    In this approach, you use SaaS reporting exclusively and disable embedded reporting. If this is your preference, disable embedded reporting and then enable SaaS reporting.

Option 2: Set up the Turbonomic data exporter

Choose one of the following approaches when you set up the data exporter.

  • Run the data exporter and embedded reporting in parallel.

    In this approach, you use the data exporter while continuing to export data to embedded reporting. If this is your preference, set up the data exporter.

  • Fully transition to the data exporter.

    In this approach, you use the data exporter exclusively and disable embedded reporting. If this is your preference, disable embedded reporting and then set up the data exporter.
