Improving Search with Left Menu Navigation Filters

The Left Navigation Search has been enhanced with a new filter menu to provide more precise search results. You can now refine your searches based on the following criteria:
  • Access Level: Filter items by the level of access (e.g. admin, user).
  • Item Type: Narrow results based on specific item categories (e.g. roadmaps, dashboards, folders).
  • Owner: Filter items by the associated owner or creator.
  • Visibility: Refine search results based on visibility settings (e.g. public, private).
To use the filter menu:
  1. Click the search icon in the Left Menu Navigation.
  2. Enter a search term in the input field.
  3. Open the filter menu and click the filter icon next to the search bar.

  4. Apply Filters.
  5. Select one or more for the following filters:

    Access

    • Private
    • Public
    • Custom shared
    Type: Choose item types to include in the results:
    • Folder
    • Dashboard
    • Report
    • Roadmap
    • List
    • Board
  6. Owner: Start typing a name to filter by owner.
  7. Visibility: Optionally check the box to include hidden views in results.
  8. View Results: Filtered results appear instantly in the results page.
  9. Modify or Clear filters.
  10. To adjust filters, reopen the filter menu and update your selections. To reset filters, deselect all checkboxes or refresh the search.
