The return codes for TAPEMNT are listed in the table below.

| 28 | Volume error |

| 34 | Library Manager Response |
| 36 | RMM command error |
| 1000 | I/O error |
| 2000 | Logic error |
| 3000 | Syntax error |
| 4xxx | User interface error (See help for TAPCMD.) |
