Configuring SSO by using a cloud login
IBM® TRIRIGA® provides an additional SSO mechanism that can be used in addition to, or instead of, other authentication mechanisms. This cloud-login mechanism is based on OpenID Connect (OIDC), and directly supports Autodesk, Google, Microsoft, and Okta as identity providers (IdP), and has custom options that may allow other providers to be configured. When used in conjunction with a traditional TRIRIGA login, the login screen can be configured to include one or more login buttons for these cloud-login providers.
About this task
Advantages:
- The cloud login can be used in conjunction with WebSphere Application Server Liberty-based SSO solutions to support users whom you may not want to add to your core identity provider, such as contractors.
- The cloud login is configured and managed directly through the TRIRIGA screen which requires no change to the hosting environment.
- Support for Microsoft as an identity provider works well with organizations which use the Microsoft Exchange integration for users who use TRIRIGA room reservations.
- The cloud login is integrated directly into the login screens of IBM TRIRIGA CAD Integrator/Publisher and IBM TRIRIGA Connector for BIM. Support for Autodesk as an identity provider allows users of these applications to use the Autodesk account they already have to use the design tools. The cloud login can support external organizations that require access to TRIRIGA to upload design data.
