Specifying list items in alternative languages

You can modify the choices that appear in List fields, so users can see list choices in their preferred language.

About this task

Some lists do not need to be translated, for example, lists of postal abbreviations.

Procedure

  1. Select Tools > Administration > Lists.
  2. In the Manage By section, from the menu, select Name.
  3. Select the list name for which you want to provide entries in another language.
  4. In the right pane, click Label List, and select the language that you want to translate into.
  5. Enter translated values for the list items.
  6. Save your changes.
