Setting up Scheduler Manager
As an administrator, you can use the Scheduler Manager settings that are accessible from the IBM® TRIRIGA® Administrator Console to configure the number of future scheduled events with No End Date option selected.
Open the IBM
TRIRIGA
Administrator Console and select the Scheduler Info tab. By default, the
configuration is set for Number for Recurrences When No End Date. You can
change values that are based on the number of future events which you want to generate with no
End Date and click Save. This configuration is applied only when the
No End Date option is selected on the Event form.
Note:
- The Scheduler Info tab settings are only applicable for the Preventive Maintenance process. The following steps help in understanding how these settings can be used in the Preventive Maintenance process.
- Do not change these settings to number lower than 50 for Daily, 25 for Weekly, 12 for Monthly, and 2 for Yearly. Also, do not change these unless directed to do so when working with IBM TRIRIGA Support.
- Click Maintenance. Under Related Links, expand the Preventive
Maintenance item, and then click Job Plans.
- Click Add to create a new Job Plan. Enter the required information on the General tab and add an asset and location under the Assets and Locations tabs. Click Create Draft .
- Click Add under the PM Schedules section to create a PM schedule. Enter Name and select Request Class.
- Click Create Recurring Pattern to open the PM Event form.
- Under the Select an Occurrence Type section, select the DAILY,
WEEKLY, MONTHLY, or YEARLY
option to get the No End Date option under the Select the End Criteria
section. Only this option uses the Scheduler Info tab settings from the
Administrator Console. After you select the No End Date option, set the
required Recurrence pattern and click Next. Enter the
offset Duration, and then click Complete.
- Click Create Draft in the PM Schedule form and then click
Activate to generate tasks by using the configuration from the Administrator
Console. The default value that is set for Daily Recurrences in the Administrator Console is 100.
So, 100 tasks are created under the Tasks section on the Job Plan. When the task is completed, a new
task is created with a future recurrence date to keep the number of future tasks always at
100.
