Discovery performance tuning
You can update the com.collation.discover.dwcount
, com.collation.discover.observer.topopumpcount
,
and com.ibm.cdb.discover.observer.topopump.threshold
properties
in the collation.properties file to influence
the discovery rate and the rate at which the discovery results are
stored in the TADDM database, or to limit the number of threads that
are responsible for storing data.
For details about these properties, see Performance properties.
If you increase
the values of the
com.collation.discover.dwcount
or com.collation.discover.observer.topopumpcount
properties,
you might also have to increase the amount of installed memory by
increasing the maximum heap size setting for the following Java™ Virtual Machines (JVMs):- For the
dwcount
property: - In a streaming server deployment:
- Discover
- DiscoverService
- In a domain server deployment:
- Discover
- In a streaming server deployment:
- For the
topopumpcount
property: - In a streaming server deployment:
- StorageService
- In a domain server deployment:
- Topology
