Explanation
The channel path or function cannot be defined because too many have already been defined. See
the following:
- The maximum number of CIB or CS5 AIDs has been reached for your CPC. You can define a maximum of nnnn hexadecimal AIDs for channel path type xxx.
- The maximum number of CL5 and CL6 PCHIDs has been reached for your CPC. You can define a maximum of nnnn hexadecimal PCHIDs for channel path type xxx.
- The maximum number of ISM VCHIDs has been reached for your CPC. You can define a maximum of nnnn hexadecimal VCHIDs for function type ISM.
- The maximum number of HYL, NVME, RCE, ROC2, ROCE, or ZEDC PCHIDs has been reached for your CPC. You can define a maximum of nnnn hexadecimal PCHIDs for function type xxxx.
- The maximum number of NETH PCHIDs and OSC, OSD, and OSH channel paths has been reached for your CPC. You can define a maximum of nnnn hexadecimal PCHIDs for function type xxxx.
- The maximum number of NETH FIDs and VFs has been reached for your CPC. You can define a maximum of xxxx hexadecimal FIDs for all PCHIDs with function type xxxx.
System action
IOCP continues to validate and check the syntax of the remaining statements. However, it does not generate an IOCS and does not produce configuration reports.
Programmer response
Adjust the number of AIDs, FIDs, PCHIDs, or VCHIDs to the number your CPC supports for the given channel path or function type.
