Editing a proxy server to the plugin

About this task

After a proxy server is added to the plugin, URL, port, username and password can be modified.

Procedure

  1. In the vSphere plugin Dashboard, go the Settings menu item that is on the left navigation panel.
  2. Click the pencil icon on the header of the proxy detail card.
  3. In the Edit Proxy Details wizard, choose the proxy type as either Basic Authentication or Open Proxy depending on your requirements.
  4. If Basic Authentication selected, complete the following fields:

    • URL (IP address or Fully Qualified Domain Name)

    • Port

    • Username

    • Password

  5. If Open Proxy selected, complete the following fields:

    • URL (IP address or Fully Qualified Domain Name)

    • Port

  6. Click Save to attempt to add the proxy details to the plugin. The wizard will automatically close upon successful completion.
  7. On the Settings page, the proxy details card displays the following fields:

    • For Basic Authentication, the following fields will be visible: Type, URL, Port and Username

    • For Open Proxy, the following fields will be visible: Type, URL and Port
