Managing storage systems in the plugin dashboard

Use the vSphere Plugin to manage and control storage objects from within the VMware vSphere Client.

Adding a storage device to the plugin
Use the IBM Storage Virtualize Plugin for vSphere to register compatible IBM storage systems.
Removing a storage system from the plugin
If the plugin no longer needs to manage a specific storage system, it can be removed from the plugin.
Editing storage system details
After a storage system is added to the plugin, authentication, alias details and managed pools can be modified.
Connecting with IBM Storage Insights
Connect with the registered instance of IBM Storage Insights for the selected storage system from the plugin dashboard.
Manual refresh of storage system and vSphere objects
Rescan storage system and vSphere objects managed by the vSphere plugin.
