Setting the component interface security

You must add components to the permissions list to set security for the PeopleTools project.

Procedure

  1. 1. Log in to the PeopleSoft web interface using PeopleSoft Administrator Account
  2. 2. Create new Permission List
    1. From the PeopleSoft menu, go to PeopleTools > Security > Permissions & Roles > Permission Lists
    2. Click on "Add a New Value"
    3. Provide any Permission List name. For instance, "ENROLE_AGENT_PL"
    4. Click on Add
    5. Provide any Description. For instance as "ENROLE_AGENT Permission List"
    6. Click on "Component Interfaces" tab
    7. Add following Component Interfaces to the list: ENROLE_CCODE ENROLE_DELETE ENROLE_LANGS ENROLE_PERM ENROLE_ROLES ENROLE_USERS ENROLE_OPRALIAS
    8. Click on Edit hyperlink against ENROLE_CCODE component interface and click on "Full Access (All)" on the next screen and click on OK. (Repeat this 2.h step for all remaining 6 component interfaces listed in step 2.g)
    9. Click on Save
  3. Create new Role
    1. From the PeopleSoft menu, go to PeopleTools > Security > Permissions & Roles > Roles
    2. Click on "Add a New Value"
    3. Provide any Role name. For instance, "ENROLE_AGENT_ROLE"
    4. Click on Add
    5. Provide any Description. For instance, "ENROLE_AGENT Role"
    6. Click the "Permission Lists" tab
    7. Add ENROLE_AGENT_PL permission list created in step 2
    8. Click on Save
  4. 4. Assign the new Role to User Profile
    1. From the PeopleSoft menu, go to PeopleTools > Security > User Profiles
    2. Search and select the user that would be configured in Adapter Service form
    3. Click on the Roles tab
    4. Add ENROLE_AGENT_ROLE role created in step 3
    5. Click on Save
