The custom target project
To configure Federated Directory Server to use a custom target, you must create an IBM® Security Verify Directory Integrator project and reference it to the LDAPSync configuration file.
- In Configuration Editor, create an IBM® Security Verify Directory Integrator project.
- Specify the Solution Name of the project as FDS_Target or a name with FDS_Target as the prefix. By default, the project name and the associate XML configuration file name is based on the Solution Name.
- In the Configuration Editor, double-click Solution Logging and Settings at the bottom of the project hierarchy.
- Click the Solution Interface tab.
- In the Solution Name field, specify FDS_Target.
Note: Only one configuration XML file must use a specific solution name. If multiple configuration XML files use the same solution name, an error is reported in the IBM® Security Verify Directory Integrator server console output or log file at sdi_solution_dir/logs/ibmdi.log.
To deploy your custom implementation of Federated Directory Server, the XML configuration file that is prefixed with FDS_Target must be copied to the sdi_solution_dir/configs directory. See Deployment of Federated Directory Server with custom target.
