Premium feature activation

You must purchase IBM® Security Verify Directory explicitly through IBM Passport Advantage® to configure and use the premium features of IBM Security Verify Directory.

Premium feature activation is enforced through a Premium Feature Activation Package that you can download from Passport Advantage. This package enables unlocking of the premium features of IBM Security Verify Directory when you start the server.

The following premium features are unlocked with the Premium Feature Activation Package:
  • Pass-through authentication

You cannot use the premium features if you are upgrading from an earlier version to Version 10.0 without the Premium Feature Activation Package.

To upgrade to the premium offering, follow these steps:
  1. Purchase a product license.
  2. Use the license to obtain a Passport Advantage account.
  3. Download and install the Premium Feature Activation Package from Passport Advantage.
  4. Migrate the earlier version (6.2, 6.3, 6.3.1, or 6.4) instance to version 10.0. For more information, see Upgrade an instance of a previous version.
  5. Restart the server.
