Additional prerequisites

You must update your system with the prerequisites for the installation of IBM® Security Verify Directory and its corequisite products.

See the System requirements section for links that list the prerequisites for IBM Security Verify Directory and its corequisite products on each supported operating system.

The following requirements are prerequisites that must be met for specific operating systems in addition to those requirements that are specified in the system requirements.

• The Korn shell is required on AIX® and Linux™ operating systems.
• On SuSE Linux Enterprise Server, PDKSH is required.
• For installation of rpm packages on AIX, download the rpm package manager for AIX systems from the following location: AIX Toolbox for Open Source Software.
• IBM IBM XL C/C++ for AIX, Version 13.1.0.1 or later is required on AIX systems. To check the level of the IBM XL C runtime, use the following command:

  lslpp -l xlC\*

• For supported Windows server operating systems, short name (8dot3 name) support must be enabled. 8dot3 name support is not enabled by default. To enable 8dot3 name support, see Enabling 8dot3 name support for Windows

xlC.rte 13.1.0.0 and xlC.aix61.rte 12.1.0.0 or later levels	The IBM C++ Runtime Environment Components for AIX requires the xlC.rte 13.1.0.0 and xlC.aix61.rte 12.1.0.0 runtime levels or later.
bos.loc.iso.en_US 5.3.0.0	IBM Security Verify Directory, Version 10.0.4 requires the minimum base level system locale file-set level at bos.loc.iso.en_US 5.3.0.0.
