Use the smit command to complete the
uninstallation of IBM® Security Verify
Directory from
an AIX® system.
Before you begin
You must stop all IBM Security Verify
Directory client
and server processes.
- Directory server
- Administration server
- LDAP traces
- Web Administration Tool and the application
server that is associated with it
- Custom LDAP applications
Procedure
- Log in as the root user.
- Access the command prompt.
- Run the smit command.
The Software
Installation and Maintenance window opens.
- Select .
- Select Remove Installed Software.
- In the Software Name field, press F4 to
show the list of installed software. You can provide the
idsldap value
in the field to list all the IBM Security Verify
Directory packages.
- Select the packages that you want to remove and press Enter.
Results
The SMIT utility removes IBM Security Verify
Directory from the AIX system. If you selected to remove all IBM Security Verify
Directory packages, the utility also
removes theIBM Security Verify
Directory installation
directory, /opt/IBM/ldap/V10.0.1, from the AIX system.
