Preparation of installation media

The IBM® Security Verify Directory product package includes IBM Security Verify Directory, and the installation program. You can obtain the installation media from the installation archives or from the Passport Advantage® website.

The IBM Security Verify Directory product is available as an archive file. An archive file contains the IBM Security Verify Directory installable components, which include the following software:
  • GSKit, Version 8.0.55.31
  • IBM Security Verify Directory
Note:

DB2®, Version 11.5.8.0, IBM SDK Java™ Technology Edition, Version 8 SR 0, and WebSphere® Application Server packages are not provided with the IBM Security Verify Directory installation media. You must download these software packages from Passport Advantage and IBM Fix Central.

GSKit, Version 8.0.55.31 is included with IBM Security Verify Directory, Version 10.0.1. The minimum-supported version that you can use with IBM Security Verify Directory, Version 10.0.1 is GSKit, Version 8.0.55.31.

When you download the archive files of the product, you must meet the following requirements:
  • Download all the required archive files to the same directory.
  • Avoid downloading the archive files to a directory location that contain spaces in the path name.
  • Decompress all the archive files in the same directory that does not contain spaces in the directory path. The directory path of the installable must not contain spaces.
