Example HTTP transformation scenarios

The scenarios in this section provide example Lua scripts which can be used in the HTTP transformation process.

This scenario illustrates how to generate a complete HTTP response.
Creating and using a Lua module
This scenario illustrates how to create and then use a Lua module. The scenario involves two Lua scripts, the first which creates the module, and the second which shows how to use the created module. Both scripts should be added to the standard HTTP transformation rule’s location. The location which stores the HTTP transformation rules has been added to the Lua search path. So each Lua script contained in the HTTP transformation rules directory can be located by any other Lua script.
Setting the Content-Security-Policy header
This scenario illustrates how to set the Content-Security-Policy header based on the value contained in the Host header of the HTTP request.
Setting an authorization decision
This scenario illustrates how to create a custom authorization decision for an HTTP request.
Adding attributes to a credential
This scenario illustrates how to add custom attributes to a credential during authentication.
Calling a remote web service
This scenario illustrates how to call out to a remote web service and use JSON fields from the response to modify the request.
Creating a Lua authentication module
This scenario illustrates how to create a Lua HTTP transformation rule that can be used to authenticate a user and then generate an EAI response.
Creating a Lua client certificate authentication module
This scenario illustrates how to create a Lua HTTP transformation rule that can be used to authenticate a user by using information found within the client certificate.
