Scope of functionality

The following information captures the scope of integrating ICAP with Reverse Proxy.

Reverse Proxy provides support for:

  • Request for modification (REQMOD)
  • Request for response (RESPMOD)

Reverse Proxy does not support the following optional aspects of ICAP RFC 3507:

  • Message preview
  • "204 No Content" Responses outside of previews
  • OPTIONS method
  • Caching
  • Authentication
  • Encryption
