Support for back-end server-side applications
Reverse Proxy supports server-side applications that run on back-end
junctioned servers and require client identity information as input.
Examples of server-side applications include:
- Java™ servlets
- Cartridges for Oracle Web Listener
- Server-side plug-ins
When you create a junction to a back-end server using the -c option, Reverse Proxy inserts Verify Identity Access-specific client identity information into the HTTP headers of requests destined for that server. Verify Identity Access-specific headers include:
- iv-user
- iv-user-l
- iv-groups
- iv-creds
- iv-remote-address
- iv-remote-address-ipv6
The Verify Identity Access-specific HTTP header information enables applications on junctioned third-party servers to perform user-specific actions based on the client's Verify Identity Access identity.
