Configuring an LDAP alias service database

If you install IBM Verify Identity Access, the high-volume database is used to store the alias information by default. However, now the LDAP database can be used to store alias information.

About this task

The alias service manages aliases by accessing an LDAP user registry. The alias service must know information about the LDAP environment that it operates in.

This topic describes the properties that you must specify.

Procedure

Identify the LDAP environment properties.

Property Description
LDAP Server Connection Specifies the LDAP Server connection name from the list of available LDAP server connection on the appliance.
An LDAP server connection can be configured on the appliance by navigating to Federations > Global > Server Connection and adding a server of the type LDAP.
Note: When you are configuring LDAP settings in Server Connection , ensure that the pool size is set in the tuning parameters. Do not leave it as default.
