Option 2: The distributed session cache

The distributed session cache (DSC) can be used for session storage by all Verify Identity Access appliances in a cluster.

When a fail over event occurs, Verify Identity Access appliance retrieves the session data of the user from the DSC. It therefore maintains the existing session state.

Within Verify Identity Access, the DSC is part of the cluster configuration. For more information about turning on or turning off this feature, see the Distributed Session Cache section in Advanced configuration properties and Managing Distributed Session Cache.
