User Count Tool

The user count tool counts the number of LDAP objects that are defined as users in the reverse proxy's primary user registry and federated directories.

The connection properties, search controls, and object filters that are used by this tool are defined in the runtime component's ldap.conf file. The user count tool creates a TLS connection if SSL information is set in the ldap.conf file.
Note: The certificate that is used for TLS connections must contain valid hostname information, provided as either the CN or SAN attributes.
Note: Running this tool can impact the performance of the reverse proxy's user registry.
To generate a user count:
  • Log in to the management interface.
  • Click the Web menu.
  • Under Manage click Runtime Component
    • Under Manager Configuration Files select ldap.conf
    • In the bind-credentials stanza, update the bind-dn and bind-pwd entries for the primary user registry.
Note: Administrators can verify other default properties (suffix, search filter, principal attribute) in this file.
  • Under Manage click User Count.
  • To generate a count, click Count.
