Release notes - January 2026
Application build: 2.39.35
As IBM Support Insights (IBM SI) continues to evolve, here are the details of the application's current progress.
Fixed issues and upgrades
Following is a list of improvements and new implementations in the application.
Editing assets
- The Edit asset properties dialog window comes with a cleaner more user-friendly look, now having the three essential editing domains - Categorization, Geo location, and Custom properties.
- You can now revert all edited properties back to their default values using the new Restore all defaults button at the end of the editing dialog window.
- You can also individually revert previously edited properties back to their default values - or revert a default property (but previously changed) back to its most recent edited value - using the reset icon button located in each edited property's row.
TAM reports
- The available domain filters are now deselected by default, giving you an all-inventory initial view along with the opportunity to decide on customizing the displayed contents or not.
- When creating a new report, you are no longer bound by previously set domain filters, as they are now report-specific and not client-specific - newly created reports come with pre-deselected domain filters.
- In case a previously applied domain filter in an existing report matches your desired customization, you can create a new report from the previous one, essentially using it as a base starting point.
- Additional data-points are now available for selection, and export, in the asset details table found in the Assets tab of the page - the configured custom properties.
General updates
- The Street address can now be displayed in the asset details tables of the Inventory and Coverage tabs of the Inventory management page as an additional data-point available for in-view selection.
- When exporting data from the asset details tables in the application's Inventory management page, the downloaded file now has as first columns those that are visible in the application's interface - ordered as they are in the app's interface- providing users with consistency across views.
Known issues and limitations
Following is a brief outline of usability constraints or challenges in the current version of the application.
| Area | Issue | Workaround |
|---|---|---|
| Inventory management - General | The values in the Uncovered section of the Hardware coverage widget could contain duplicates. | To be fixed in a future release.
As a temporary workaround, you can export the data and have the duplicated values removed based on the devices' serial number. |
| Inventory management - General | The values in the Vendor recommended OS versions column are not searchable while in View services table mode. | To be fixed in a future release. |
| Inventory management - Coverage - Service diversity | The Service group names/labels might be inconsistent in the views of different users within the same client profile. | To be fixed in a future release.
As a temporary workaround, the different users with access to the same client profile can clear up their local cache and cookies prior to using IBM SI - that will sync up their service group labels view. |
| Risks & Recommendations - General | Some OS/Firmware alerts might be missing if multiple data collection methods are used. | To be fixed in a future release. |
