Common tasks performed in IBM Support Insights

Logging in

Every user needs to log into IBM Support Insights with their IBMid - that is the common single sign-on mechanism used on all IBM websites and applications. If you don’t already have an IBMid, go to the Getting started page for details on how to create it in a few simple steps.

Please, note that you need an IBMid with an e-mail address and not with a short-name.

Once you have an IBMid created, you may go directly to IBM Support Insights and click on the Log in button on the left-hand side of the screen.

Login page

You will be taken to a standard login form, within the same browser window and tab, prompting you to populate your IBMid e-mail. On the next screen you will be prompted to populate your IBMid password. Once you're ready, click on Log in to submit the credentials. Once you have been successfully verified, you will be logged into IBM Support Insights on the main browser window.

Additionally, if you have previously logged into a different IBM site with the same IBMid - the system will automatically verify that you are logged in and take you to IBM Support Insight's homepage.

If you are not automatically forwarded to the application's homepage, please click the Log in button once again on the home screen.

Logging out

When you wish to leave IBM Support Insights, go to the upper right-hand side of the screen and click on the user icon. You will then see your name on the first row and a Logout button on the consecutive row. Click the logout button and confirm you wish to indeed be logged out of the application on the pop-up screen that follows.

Logging out

If you have not logged out of the application by following the aforementioned steps, but instead your IBMid session is timed out, and you are logged out of the application automatically - note that it is recommended you clear out your browser's cache and cookies before your next login. For details on how to do so, go to the Troubleshooting page.
