Introducing Streams Processing Language

Streams Processing Language (SPL) is a distributed data flow composition language. SPL has primitive types, program structures, and definitions that are tailored for streaming data.

Getting started
The best way to learn a new programming language is to write programs in it. But to write programs, you need to know how to compile and run programs because you frequently want to test whether what you wrote does what you expect.
Stream processing
As the name implies, SPL is a language for processing data streams.
Types and functions
One of the most important goals of programming languages is to enable reuse and improve readability. Languages support this goal by providing the capability to define your own types and functions.
Composite operators
Just like user-defined types and functions, user-defined composite operators help code reuse and readability. A composite operator encapsulates a stream subgraph, which can then be used in different contexts.
Primitive operators
SPL also has primitive operators, which encapsulate code in a native language.
