Upgrading to Version 4.2 when the default IBM Streams resource manager is used
If you are using resources that are managed by the default IBM Streams resource manager only, use this procedure to install IBM Streams Version 4.2.

Upgrading to Version 4.2 when an external resource manager is used
If you are using resources that are managed by a supported external resource manager, use this procedure to install IBM Streams Version 4.2. Any resources that are managed by the default IBM Streams resource manager are also upgraded.

Migration guidelines for IBM Streams Version 4.2
