Removing an instance

You can remove an instance in InfoSphere® Streams Studio.

About this task

Removing a stopped instance deletes the instance and you can no longer use it. You can create the instance again if required.

To remove an instance, select a stopped instance from the Instances folder and right click.
From the menu, select Remove instance.

The instance is removed from the Streams run time and the Streams Explorer view is updated.

The Streams Studio Console view contains status messages from the remove instance command.

When the instance is removed, it is deleted from the Instances folder.

Note: If the remove action is not available, the instance is not stopped.

Note: Log and trace files that you download from the instance are not automatically deleted. You must delete files separately.
