Launching the application

You can launch the Sterling Store Engagement application from a web browser either on a desktop or mobile device by using the unique application launch URL.

Note: If you launch the application on a mobile device that is integrated with a bar code scanner, and if you want to automatically populate the text on scanning the bar code, ensure that you disable the copy and paste option in your browser.

Procedure

  1. Launch the Sterling Store Engagement application by entering the following URL in a new browser window:http://<IP_ADDRESS>:<PORT>/isf/store-frontend/index.html

    Note: Sterling Order Management System supports IBMid authentication so that you can use your IBMid credentials as a Single-Sign On to access Sterling Store Engagement. For more information about IBMid authentication, see IBMid authentication for Sterling Order Management System.
  2. Log in with a valid user name and password.
    If you need any assistance, contact your administrator.
    Note: After you successfully log in to the application, the application-provided JSON assets and JSONs from extensions are loaded. If you have not extended specific JSONs, some of these requests might result in 404 status error message that you can ignore.
