Ship nodes

Based on your requirements, a store can be configured as Store Inventory Management (SIM) enabled or not.

A ship node is configured as Store Inventory Management (SIM) enabled or not enabled either by specifying the following values for Store Inventory Configuration in Applications Manageror by calling the manageOrganizationHierarchy API with any of the following values for the StoreInvConfig attribute:
StoreInvConfig attribute values Store Inventory Configuration settings Description
01 SIM enabled. Inventory managed in Store Store Inventory Management (SIM) is enabled for the store and inventory is managed in the store.
00 SIM not enabled Store Inventory Management (SIM) is not enabled for the store.

The flows that are available for the store in the Sterling Store Engagement UI differ based on the Store Inventory Configuration setting. For example, if a store is configured as SIM not enabled, the Inventory management view displays only the Receive inventory portlet.

For more information about configuring the ship nodes, see Configuring inventory management capability in stores.
