In store receiving
Inbound shipments from vendors or from other stores/warehouses for inventory replenishment or for fulfilling a specific sales order, can be received at a store.
A store has incoming shipments from vendors or from other stores/warehouses for inventory replenishment or for fulfilling a specific sales order. Once shipments arrive at the store, a receiving process is initiated by scanning the packages or the products in the shipment. A store associate can view the incoming shipments from various sources and start the receiving process by scanning or searching with shipment number, package number, order number, or product ID. The actual receiving is done by scanning either packages, if package information is available or loose SKUs. Alternatively, loose SKUs and packages can be received manually. Further, a store associate can record damages for inbound shipments. If the shipment looks good overall or if the shipment is from a good faith vendor or for other reasons, the store associate can receive the complete shipment without scanning packages or products..
