You can view and modify the charges for the order or individual order lines and also
override the price of products in an order. You can override the price only for newly added order
lines. You can also edit an order to apply discount coupons.
Procedure
- Log in to Sterling Store
Engagement.
- To search for orders, use either of the following
methods:
- From the application menu, select Customer service to search by using
the Find order portlet.
- Click the search icon on the status bar and select the search type as
Order to search for orders globally from any page.
- Enter or scan the order number that you want to modify.
Alternatively, use Advanced search to search for the order by using the
customer details. For more information about finding orders, see Finding orders.
The Order summary
page opens.
- Click Edit.
Note: You cannot modify an order that is already canceled, shipped, or carried.
The Edit order page opens.
Overriding the price of a product in an existing order line
- Click the amount link under Item total for the existing order line
that you want to modify.
The Add/Modify product total window
opens.
- Click the Subtotal link. The Add/Modify product total >
Price override window opens.
- In the New price per unit ($), enter the updated
price.
- From the Price override reason, select the reason for updating
the price.
- In the Notes field, enter additional information, if
required.
- Click Apply.
Adding charges and discounts to the product total
- To add new charges, such as installation charges, or discounts, such as appeasement
discounts, click Add charges in the Add/Modify product
total window. The Add/Modify product total > Add charges window
opens. If the order has some charges already applied, the Add/Modify product total >
Modify charges window opens.
- Select the Charge category, Charge name,
and Amount.
- Under Applied to, select Per line or
Per unit based on your requirements.
- The Notes field is automatically updated to display the charge
and amount added. You can edit the note to add more details.
- Click Apply and Close.
Removing charges and discounts from the product total
- To remove the charges or discounts that are applied to an order line, click the charge or
discount/coupon links under Total charges or Total
discount in the Add/Modify product total window. The
Add/Modify product total > Modify charges window opens.
- Click Remove.
- In the confirmation message that is displayed, click
Remove.
- Click Close.
Modifying the order total
- To view the breakup of the order total and to add or modify charges, click
Order total in the panel at the bottom of the page.The Add/Modify
charges window opens. The total price of all the items in the order along with taxes,
charges, and discount is displayed. You can add or remove order level charges and discounts.
- To add new charges, such as installation charges or appeasement discounts, click
Add charges.
- Select the Charge category, Charge name,
and Amount.
Note: You can add a specific charge only once.
- The Notes field is automatically updated to display the charge
and amount added. You can edit the note to add more details.
- Click Apply and Close.
Applying coupons
- To apply any gift coupons or vouchers to the order to help the customers avail discounts,
click Coupons applied. Scan or enter the coupon code. The total discount
applicable as per the coupon is shown.
Updating the gift options
- To mark an item as a gift and to add a message to the recipient and to have it gift
wrapped, click Gift options in the specific order line. To mark the entire
order as a gift, click Gift options in the panel at the bottom of the
page.
