Visualizing data with Manager Dashboard

As a store manager, you can visualize data that provides insights into your store performance by using the Manager Dashboard. All the widgets present in the dashboard are permission-controlled. Therefore, ensure that the appropriate resource permissions are enabled for you to access the widgets.

About this task

The store managers can use the dashboard to monitor activities and performance of the store by reviewing the Order Status and SLA charts. The dashboard consists of various widgets that provides insights into the store performance. The dashboard empowers store managers to analyze and make fast and data-driven decisions based on the latest information.

Before you begin

As a store manager, ensure that you have permission to access one or more of the delivery method widgets.

Accessing the Manager Dashboard

To view the Manager Dashboard, complete the following steps:
  1. Log in to Sterling Store Engagement as a manager.
  2. From the application menu, select Manager dashboard.

Viewing the dashboard widgets

The dashboard includes widgets with corresponding data that summarizes the various aspects of the store.

The auto-refresh option automatically refreshes the dashboard view based on the refresh interval that is configured in Sterling Business Center. If necessary, you can manually refresh the current view of the Manager Dashboard by clicking the refresh icon.

The first widget displays the total count of orders across various delivery methods to be fulfilled for the day. It also displays the count of orders that are in different statuses and SLA priority.

The dashboard comprises of the following widgets:

Total orders to be fulfilled today

This widget displays the total number of BOPIS (Buy Online, Pickup in Store) and ship from store orders, including sales and transfer orders that need to be fulfilled by the store on a given day. The total count includes backlog orders from the previous days and orders that are planned to be shipped on the current day. See the following business use cases:

  • If there are 10 orders from previous days and 5 orders on the current day, the total count of orders displayed is 15. When you hover on the tooltip, you can view the message Includes 10 orders from yesterday.
  • If there are 10 orders from previous days and 0 (zero) orders on the current day, the total count of orders displayed is 10. When you hover on the tooltip, you can view the message, Includes 10 orders from yesterday.
  • If there are 0 (zero) orders from previous days and 5 orders on the current day, the total count of orders displayed is 5. In this case, the tooltip is not displayed.

You can also view the count of orders that are in Not started, In progress, Ready, and Completed status.

When you click the Expand icon, the shipment list is displayed. You can view the total list of shipments for each shipment status and the corresponding shipment details.

Total orders by SLA

For each delivery method, a threshold time is configured to display SLA indicators. This widget consists of the following SLA indicators:

  • Overdue - Refers to orders that are not fulfilled within the configured threshold time. When you hover on the overdue orders, you can view the count of orders from previous days, if any.
  • Nearing SLA - Refers to orders that needs to be fulfilled in the near threshold time that is configured.
  • Within SLA - Refers to orders that needs to be fulfilled within the configured threshold time.

When you click the Expand icon, the shipment list is displayed. You can view the total list of shipments for each SLA status and the corresponding shipment details.

Pickup orders

The widget is permission controlled and provides both order status and SLA views for pickup order. You can switch the view and review the details for the selected view.

  • Order status view - Displays the total number of pickup orders and a count of orders that are In progress, Ready, Not Started, and Completed statuses.
  • SLA view - Displays the total number of pickup orders and a count of orders that are nearing SLA, overdue, and within SLA threshold.

You can also click the legend to view the order count for the order status view or SLA view.

When you click the Expand icon, the total pickup orders shipment list is displayed. You can view the total list of pickup shipments for each shipment or SLA status and the corresponding shipment details.

Ship orders

The widget is permission controlled and provides both order status and SLA views for ship orders. You can switch the view and review the details for the selected view.

  • Order status view - Displays the total count of ship from store orders and a count of orders that are In progress, Ready, Not Started, and Completed statuses.
  • SLA view - Displays the total count of ship from store orders and a count of orders that are nearing SLA, overdue, and within SLA threshold.

You can also click the legend to view the order count for the order status view or SLA view.

When you click the Expand icon, the total pickup orders shipment list is displayed. You can view the total list of ship order shipments for each shipment or SLA status and the corresponding shipment details.

Transfer orders

The widget is permission controlled and provides both order status and SLA views for transfer orders. You can switch the view and review the details for the selected view.

  • Order status view - Displays the total number of transfer orders and a count of orders that are In progress, Ready, Not Started, and Completed statuses.
  • SLA view - Displays the total number of transfer orders and a count of orders that are nearing SLA, overdue, and within SLA threshold.

You can also click the legend to view the order count for the order status view or SLA view.

When you click the Expand icon, the total pickup orders shipment list is displayed. You can view the total list of transfer order shipments for each shipment or SLA status and the corresponding shipment details.

Order fulfillment tasks by associate

The widget is permission controlled and provides the total count of tasks that are assigned and not assigned. You can toggle between group by tasks or group by associates to view the appropriate information.

By default, the Group by tasks action is displayed. You can view the count of store associates working on the backroom pick task, count of tasks that are assigned, and count of tasks that are unassigned. Similarly, you can view information for the packing task. For both backroom pick and packing tasks, you can view the "In progress" and "Not started" tasks that are assigned to each associate.

When you click Backroom pick, the Pick order list page opens. Similarly, when you click Packing, the Pack order list page opens.

To view the list of store associates to whom the tasks are assigned, click Group by task. The widget switches to Group by associates view, and provides a graphical canvas. In the X axis, you can view the total order count for all the status. In the Y axis, you can view the associate to whom the task is assigned.

You can click the appropriate legend to view the total count of orders.

When you click the Expand icon, the total unassigned shipment list is displayed. Click Assign for a shipment and assign the shipment to a store associate.

Order fulfillment alerts

The widget is permission controlled and provides the list of alerts that are created. You can assign or reassign any alert to a particular store associate. When you click Assign or Reassign, the Assign to window opens. From the drop-down list, select the store associate to whom you want to assign or reassign the specific alert and click Done.

You can also click the modal icon to view the list of alerts. Click Assign or Reassign to assign or reassign an alert from a particular store associate.

Pick declined orders

The widget is permission controlled and provides the list of pick declined orders, which include orders for which at least one or more order lines are declined.

In this widget, the pick declined order data is displayed only for one week, starting from Sunday through Saturday. You can view the count of orders and order lines that are declined to be picked.

You can click the appropriate legend to view the count of orders that are pick declined for various reasons.

When you click the order count, the total pick declined order list is displayed. You can view the orders and product details for the pick declined orders.

When you click the order lines count, the total pick declined order lines list is displayed. You can view the order line details and the declined quantity.

Orders to be fulfilled

The widget is permission controlled and displays the order count based on the delivery method and fulfillment date. You can view information for the next three days. In the X axis, you can view the date on which the order needs to be fulfilled. In the Y axis, you can view the order count for each delivery method.

You can hover on the appropriate order type (vertical line) in the chart to view the corresponding information.

When you click the Expand icon, the shipment list is displayed. You can view shipments that need to be fulfilled in the next three days.

You can click the appropriate legend to view the count of orders for each delivery method.

Status of incoming shipments

The widget is permission controlled and displays the incoming shipments for both transfer and purchase orders. The shipments are displayed only for one week, starting from Sunday through Saturday. You can view the count of total shipments and shipment count for each status.

The widget displays the count of as expected and discrepancy shipments. In the X axis, you can view the shipment count for each shipment status method. In the Y axis, you can view the count of shipments. To view the corresponding information, hover on the appropriate status type (vertical line) in the chart.

When you click the Expand icon, the shipment list is displayed. You can view both incoming and received shipment details.
