Using the home page

You can view persona-based interface that provides access to the relevant tasks through portlets. You can switch persona and also choose to access the old user interface, if required.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Sterling Store Engagement.
  2. Click the eye icon at the bottom-right of the screen and then select the appropriate persona from the menu.
    Based on the persona that you select, the portlets associated with the persona are displayed.

    Portlets Description
    Order Fulfillment View Pick Orders You can start picking orders.
    • The In-Progress count displays all orders which are in “Backroom Pick in Progress” status.
    • The Not Started number displays all orders which are in “Ready For Backroom Pick Status”.
    • The count at the center displays all orders that can be picked up.
    • You can perform an Advanced Search for orders assigned to specific users.
    • Pick Batches: You can pick products in batches.
    Pack Orders You can start packing orders.
    • The In-Progress count displays all orders which are in the “Pack in Progress” status.
    • The Not Started count shows all orders which are in the “Ready For Packing” status.
    • The count at the center displays all orders that can be packed.
    • Packing can be started by just scanning a product, which finds corresponding orders in the "Ready for Packing" or "Packing in Progress" status.
    • You can perform an Advanced Search for orders by using order or shipment number or assigned to specific users.
    More Tasks Only one or two portlets are directly displayed on the home page. All other portlets are grouped under the More Tasks portlet. You can click the name of the portlet that you want to open from within the More Tasks portlet. You can navigate back when you want to view a different portlet.
    Customer Pickup You can start the customer pickup task from this portlet.
    • The count at the center of the portlet displays the orders that are in the "Ready for Customer' status.
    • You can perform an Advanced Search for orders by using customer details as search criteria either for a customer or a pickup recipient.
    Ship Orders The count at the center of the portlet displays all the packages available for shipping.
    Note: Packages from partially picked orders are not listed here.
    You can confirm shipment of packages for orders which are completely packed.
    Receive Shipments You can view the incoming, received, delayed, and damaged inbound shipments and start receiving shipments.
    • The Incoming count displays the shipments that are expected to arrive in the coming week.
    • The Received Today count displays the shipments that are received today or being received.
    • The Delayed count displays the shipments that were expected prior to current date but not yet received
    • You can scan an inbound shipment to start in-store receiving.
    • You can also perform Advanced Search to find the inbound shipment that you want to receive.
    My Tasks You can view the in-progress orders and batches that are assigned to the currently logged in user.
    • The Orderscount displays the orders that are being picked or packed by the currently logged-in user.
    • The Batches count displays batches that are being picked by the currently logged-in user.
    Customer Service View Find Products Scan or search for products that you want to add to an order.
    Check Out If a customer plans to carry out products directly from the store, you can quickly create an order by scanning products from this portlet.
    More Tasks Only one or two portlets are directly displayed on the home page. All other portlets are grouped under the More Tasks portlet. You can click the name of the portlet that you want to open from within the More Tasks portlet. You can navigate back when you want to view a different portlet.
    Return Products When a customer arrives at a store to return products purchased earlier, a store associate can start creating a return order.
    • You can choose either Order, Product, or Customer as the entry point to create return orders.
    • You can also perform an Advanced Search to search for orders for which you can create returns.
    Lookup Customer You can identify a customer who walks into the store to effectively engage the customer in making purchases by having a comprehensive view of the customer's shopping history and using the system-driven product recommendations.
    • You can look up a customer using either the email address or phone number
    • You can also perform an Advanced Search to look up a customer.
    Appointments
    • The count at the center displays the number of appointments that are scheduled to be executed in current store on the current day.
    • Create Appointment: You can create a new in-store appointment for a customer.
    • You can also perform an Advanced Search for appointments using customer details. Then, you can view the appointments of individual customers.
    • You can also select Dojo Order Fulfillment View to view the old store interface and Manager Dashboard View to view the store manager dashboard.
    • If you are on the old user interface of the application, click one of the buttons in the Persona Based Store portlet to navigate to the persona-based interface.
    Note: On a mobile device, the home page will have a single portlet and remaining portlets would be grouped under More Tasks portlet for all personas
    The application menu bar is common to all the screens and you can perform the following tasks from the menu bar:
    • Click the Search icon to launch global search feature from where you can search for orders, shipments, products and customers.
    • Click the Alerts icon to view the opens alerts for the currently logged in user.
    • Click the Home icon from any screen to navigate back to the home page.
    • Click the user profile icon and then click Log out to log out of the application.
    • Click the Help icon to launch the IBM Documentation site for Sterling Store Engagement.
    • Click the About icon to view the version, build and copyright details of the application.
