Upgrading signed kernel modules for UEFI secure boot on x86_64 and Linux® on Z
When the kernel of the node where IBM Storage Scale runs or the kernel of IBM Storage Scale itself is to be upgraded, make sure that the available signed kernel modules are an exact match.
Warning: If secure boot is enabled, do not upgrade the kernel or IBM Storage Scale unless you get a gpfs.gplbin
package with matching IBM Storage Scale kernel modules. If the
kernel versions do not match, IBM Storage Scale does not
start.
To install the new kernel modules, follow the process that is described in Installing the signed kernel modules for UEFI secure boot on x86_64 or Installing the signed kernel modules for secure boot on Linux on Z.
