Deleting a snapshot

Use the mmdelsnapshot command to delete GPFS snapshots of a file system.

For example, to delete snap1 for the file system fs1, enter:

mmdelsnapshot fs1 snap1

The output is similar to this:

Invalidating snapshot files...
Deleting snapshot files...
 100.00 % complete on Tue Feb 28 10:40:59 2012
Delete snapshot snap1 complete, err = 0
