Dynamic pagepool
The dynamic pagepool feature in IBM Storage Scale adjusts the size of the pagepool memory dynamically. This feature is available only on IBM Storage Scale that runs on Linux nodes. The pagepool is managed between the minimum size and the maximum size.
When IBM Storage Scale detects shortage of the pagepool memory, it attempts to increase the pagepool size, but not beyond the configured maximum size. When the Linux kernel detects the memory pressure, it requests IBM Storage Scale to shrink the size of the pagepool. IBM Storage Scale attempts to shrink the size of the pagepool in response, but the pagepool is not shrunk less than the configured minimum size.
