Installing the IBM Storage Scale man pages on Linux nodes

To use the IBM Storage Scale man pages, the gpfs.docs package (rpm or deb package) must be installed.

When you have installed the gpfs.docs package, the IBM Storage Scale man pages are located at /usr/share/man/.

You do not need to install the gpfs.docs package on all nodes if man pages are not required (for example, if local file system space on the node is minimal).

If you are using the installation toolkit on supported Linux® distributions, it automatically installs the associated man pages when it runs spectrumscale install to create a new GPFS cluster.
