Explanation
The connection between a GPFS command

The daemon may have crashed, or never been started, or (for mmpmon)
the allowed number of simultaneous connections has been exceeded.

Ensure that the mmfsd daemon
is running. Check the error log. For mmpmon,
ensure that the allowed number of simultaneous connections has not
been exceeded.
