Implementing Cluster Export Services

Cluster Export Services (CES) provides highly available file and object services to a GPFS cluster by using Network File System (NFS), Simple Storage Service (S3), or Server Message Block (SMB) protocols.

Note: Available on all IBM Storage Scale editions.

CES is an alternate approach to a clustered Network File System (CNFS) to export GPFS file systems. For more information about CES and protocol configuration, see the Configuring the CES and protocols.
