Viewing and analyzing the performance data

The performance monitoring tool displays the performance metrics that are associated with GPFS and the associated protocols. It helps you get a graphical representation of the status and trends of the key performance indicators, and analyze IBM Storage Scale performance problems.

You can view and analyze the performance monitoring data by using the following methods:

Using the IBM Storage Scale GUI.
Using the mmperfmon command.
Using an open source visualization tool called Grafana.

Note: The performance data that is available with mmperfmon query, GUI, or any other visualization tool depends on the sensors that are installed and enabled. The sensor configuration details help you determine the type of sensors that are available. For more information, see Configuring the sensor.
