You can use the Shared Folders Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in
on Microsoft Windows clients for modifying or removing
SMB shares on the IBM Storage Scale cluster.
- Open the Shared
Folders Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in:
- Click .
- Type fsmgmt.msc and click OK.
The Shared Folders Microsoft Management Console
(MMC) snap-in opens.
- Connect to the
server on which you want to create SMB shares:
- Click .
- Type the IP address of the server you want to connect
to in the Another computer field and click OK.
- In the left pane, click Shares.
All SMB shares are listed in the right pane.
Note: If there
is a permissions related error when you click
Shares,
verify that you are a member of the local administrators group of
the cluster. For more information, see
Managing SMB shares using MMC.
- Do one of the following steps depending on whether you
want to modify or remove SMB shares:
- To modify an SMB share:
- In the right pane, right-click the SMB share that you want to
modify, and then click Properties.
- Modify the properties as required and click OK.
- To remove an SMB share:
- In the right pane, right-click the SMB share that you want to
remove, and then click Stop Sharing.
