Authentication issues

This topic describes the authentication issues that you might experience while using file and object protocols.

File protocol authentication setup issues
When trying to enable Active Directory Authentication for file (SMB, NFS), the operation might fail due to a timeout. In some cases, the DNS server can return multiple IPs that cannot be queried within the allotted timeout period and/or IPs that belong to networks inaccessible by the IBM Storage Scale nodes.

Nameserver issues related to AD authentication
